Who I help

Coverage for the people the big carriers overlook

If you don't get insurance through a big employer, shopping on your own can feel like guesswork. That's where I come in.

Families

Coverage for the whole household, without paying for things you'll never use.

Self-employed & 1099

Contractors, gig workers and freelancers who buy their own insurance.

Small business owners

Owners who want good coverage for themselves and their families.

Comparing an employer plan

Not sure your work plan is the best deal for your spouse or kids? Let's compare.

How it works

Three steps. No pressure.

You'll never be passed around between agents. You talk to me the whole way.

Book a time

Pick a 15-minute slot that works for you. Phone call, no video needed.

We review together

I'll look at what you have now, what you're paying, and what matters to you, like your doctors, prescriptions and budget.

You decide

If there's a better fit, I'll show you. If your current plan is the right one, I'll tell you that too.

Why reviewing matters

A raise shouldn't turn into a tax bill

One family I worked with had a tax credit lowering their monthly premium. Then one of them got a raise, and nobody updated their health insurance. At tax time, the IRS wanted the credit back. All of it.

Starting with 2026 taxes, the old limits on how much you have to repay are gone. If your income, job or household changed this year, your plan needs a second look.

The 5-point checklist I use with every family

Keep it whether we ever talk or not. If you hit a "not sure" on any of these, that's what the free review is for.

Go through it with me →
  1. Did your deductible go up? Many plans raise it quietly at renewal.
  2. Are your doctors still in network? Networks change every year.
  3. Are your prescriptions still covered at the same tier?
  4. Did your household change? A new baby, a marriage, a new job, or a kid turning 26.
  5. Did your income change? It can change what you qualify for, and what you owe at tax time.

Everett Baird
Meet your advisor

Hi, I'm Everett.

I'm a licensed health insurance advisor based in Utah, working with families and business owners across 31 states. Before insurance, I spent two years as a full-time missionary in Colorado and then worked in sales at a startup that grew fast. Both taught me the same thing: people want someone who listens and tells them the truth.

That's how I run Baird Agency Insurance. You get one person who knows your situation, answers the phone, and tells you straight when your current plan is already the right one.

Questions

Common questions

Does the review cost anything?

No. The review is free and there's no obligation to change anything.

What should I have ready for the call?

If you have one, your current plan card or renewal letter. A list of your doctors and prescriptions helps too. If you don't have those, that's fine. We can still talk through your options.

Can I get coverage outside open enrollment?

Marketplace plans generally require open enrollment or a qualifying life event, like a move, a new baby or losing other coverage. Some private plans can be applied for year-round. On our call, I'll walk you through what's available in your state and when.

I have insurance through work. Should I still talk to you?

Maybe. Employer plans can get expensive when you add a spouse or kids. A quick comparison will show whether your family is better off on the work plan or on its own.

Will you sell my information?

No. Your information is only used to help you with your coverage.
